One duel is up to two events: for the first the actual Master chooses track, car and settings and for the second the challenger does. If a driver beat the Master in both events, he is the HGE King of GeneRally - at least for a week, when he can be challenged by other person.Futher details and latest news available on homepage or on forum.

Gran Turismo GeneRally is out!

Gran Turismo GeneRally's first public version is finally available! Its basic idea dates back to July/August 2004, where Alonsomania saw an image from GT4 in a magazine thinking it would be awesome to have that for GR. After many tries and fails, which didn't made his passion weaker, but on opposite motivated him to improve his skills, we finally can in end of December 2010 test result of his extraordinary effort.

The project combines two elements - menu interface of GTGR and GeneRally itself. The interface offers many options inspired by Gran Turismo series and the progress of the game experience is designed to be very similar too. You can buy cars of different performances, do license tests or browse trackpedia. The system do some automatized things in the GR too (revealing tracks, cars or AIs), but several other operations must the player do his on his own - mainly start the game and choose the drivers and tracks according instruction of the interface. After completing his mission the player fills his result from GR to the interface, which records it and awards him by credit or/and award (e.g. new car), which helps to player to progress in his career. In GeneRally related matter you can expect ATM more than dozen of tracks by Alonsomania and many interesting cars by among others Mebiko, Haruna Say or J4ber with specific system of physic model reflecting specifications of each of available cars.

Even if the project is now still incomplete (several options will be fully available after scheduled updates) and first wider inspection by community players during early moments discovered several less serious issues, it already offers lot of great fun and opens new dimension of the GeneRally playing behind limits of usual races or time trial in the game. We can only hope, that the updates will go quite fast, both updates increasing features of the project and fixing the details.

Of course that Gran Turismo GeneRally is completely for free like any other thing related to GR. You can get latest news, updates and other interesting stuff or ask for support in dedicated subforum at GRIF.

Will be new TrackDatabase created?

Plans of new TrackDatabase were revealed by its designer, Crono, few days ago. The project seems to be in quite late beta version, but no further details about any terms have been sheduled yet, but the database could include some interesting features like comments, adding tracks as favourites, rating tracks, user profiles, search and sort engines or gallery.

His project could be replacement of Official TrackDatabase, which was integral part of Official GR website until a crash, which caused loss of all its datas and never was restored. You can read more details, see screenshots of the new interface and wait for more news by browsing this forum topic.
